Sushi Lover Clarissa of Phoenix

How long ago did you begin eating sushi? I first tried it when I was five but it did not agree with my tummy.

How were you introduced to sushi?
I was on a ship that served sushi and seafood in Canada. My dad was eating lots of fish and seafood then my dad tried raw fish on ric e, which was a sashshmi roll. So, I tried it too. Well it tasted gross going down but even worst coming back out.

Did you like sushi the first time you tried it? Absolutely Not!!!

If not, when/how did you start to like it? The older I got the more adventurous I got with food. I was at a buffet and saw some sushi so I tried and liked it.

How often do you eat sushi? At least once a month
How often would you like to eat sushi? once a week maybe even two

What is your favorite (or favorites) sushi? Squid

What is your favorite sushi restaurant? Why?

only because they have all you can eat

Where is the most unusual or exotic place/city you’ve eaten sushi? Off the Canadian shores

Have you converted/introduced anyone to sushi? How many people? Yes, 2

What was your score on the “Are you really a sushi lover” test?

  • Hi Robert-Gilles,

Very nice to meet you! It seems we have three things in common: sushi of course, and I used to live in Japan (which is where I was introduced to sushi) and the French Connection (I used to live in Paris and my husband is from a former French colony). Although I lived in Tokyo and Hokkaido and traveled to Osaka/Kyoto/Nara and the like, I never quite made it to Shizuoka so I look forward to checking out your blogs to learn about the prefecture. Let's definitely keep in touch - I will add your blog to my blogroll and I will definitely use your posts. You can feel free to use any of my posts as well (check out some of the etiquette or experience categories for content pieces). Looking forward to celebrating sushi with you! xx Makimom
