I recently searched “sushi” at Meetup.com and discovered more than 100 Meetup groups across the country (and the world) dedicated to enjoying sushi and sashimi, sometimes paired with sake. There is no cost to join a Meetup group and no obligation to attend a particular sushi event – the Meetup.com group organizer(s) simply pick a time and place for for sushi and sashimi lovers to get together and enjoy the good stuff. So check out meetup.com and search for a group in your area. If there isn’t one, start one!
There are two sushi Meetup groups in the Phoenix Metro area – one based in the East Valley (Phoenix Sushi – East) organized by sushi lover Alex and the Sushi-licious group based in the West Valley and organized by sushi lover Regina. Both groups organize sushi outings beyond their home base including Phoenix and Scottsdale, and occasionally host joint meetups.
